We have been retained by one of the UK’s leading independent business advisory firms to help with their very progressive and strategic growth plans centred around the recruitment of a Turnaround Advisory Partner.
Having established themselves as a major player within formal insolvency, the business has expanded its service offering to include forensic accounting, corporate finance, and business rescue. This expansion has seen Partners from across the country join the organisation to further develop the firm’s reach with offices located in nearly all the major cities and business hubs across the UK.
The next phase of growth is to recruit an experienced Advisory / Turnaround professional to fully launch, lead and grow a division dedicated to supporting SMEs / OMBs with board level advice during times of financial distress. This is a Partner level role that will see you originating and executing on turnaround projects.
Our client has a flow of advisory work already flowing into the business through the existing work referring channels but to fully drive this part of the business forward, our client has committed to retaining our services to help identify an established and well-networked turnaround professional to join as a Partner.
You will be given the licence and full support of the wider partner group to scale up an advisory turnaround division with you as the face of it. This is one of two senior strategic hires that the firm are seeking to make as they enter their next phase of growth.
As the Turnaround / Advisory Partner leading this business function, you will be tasked with originating and successfully leading on turnaround mandates through providing financial and operational advice to businesses with working capital constraints and cash flow issues.
You will advise boards on how best to implement short-term performance improvements, the review of cash flow forecasts, overheads, and cost management, restructuring of existing debt and reviewing facilities to inject cash into the business or undergo an accelerated sale process. A full deep dive into the options that these businesses can undertake will form a key part of your role.
To be considered, you will need to be able to demonstrate a wide contact base with which to originate these types of turnaround / board level advisory projects. Experience acting as a CRO is going to be key and the bulk of your experience will need to be working with SMEs and OMBs as opposed to the very large multinationals and listed businesses.
If you are seeking an opportunity to partner with an organisation deep-rooted in offering business advisory services to financially distressed businesses, in which you can leverage from existing contacts and fully own a new division dedicated to turnaround work, this is an opportunity to consider.
We are the acting recruitment consultancy shortlisting and running the hiring process on behalf of our client. For a confidential conversation, please do get in contact directly through this advertisement.
