Insolvency & Restructuring Senior Associate

We have been instructed to help assist a global powerhouse within the financial restructuring space in the hire of a newly qualified insolvency accountant for their office in the British Virgin Islands.

Based on a significant uptick in new corporate insolvency and investigation appointments across offshore jurisdictions, the business are looking to bring in an ACA/ACCA/CA qualified Senior Associate to join the team early 2023.

The work conducted is big ticket and often complex fraud based corporate insolvency work which will require you to get heavily involved in conducting investigations into misappropriated assets, assisting with the sale of distressed assets, managing the cradle to grave statutory reporting, work on shareholder disputes and be the main point of contact for all third parties across each case in your portfolio.

Even at the Senior Associate level, you will be encouraged to get heavily involved in business development activity and initiatives with work referring contacts on island. The Partner leading this team has a phenomenal reputation and believes fully in empowering the team to gain exposure to the commercial task of winning work and developing relationships with lawyers at the major offshore law firms.

To be considered for this incredible opportunity, you need to hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CA / CPA) and have experience working on corporate insolvency appointments. Any previous exposure to working on offshore cases or appointments that are more contentious and investigative in nature would be advantageous but not essential.
